“This is what I want my relationship with you to be like; Exciting, risky, and energizing… like riding a mortorcycle! But instead take your car with me.”
~Gwen Smith “Help for a heart that worries”
Oh the ways God Speaks!
About a year ago, while driving to visit my sister I slipped off the road while getting on an exit. Thank God it was just a grassy patch, but it was still a scary experience for myself. It even paralyzed me from getting back in the drivers seat. Well due to us welcoming in Sir Shiloh we had to get a new family vehicle. through our prior struggles, storms, and testimonies, I truly believe God has been mentally preparing me for this victory.
Once purchasing the car I was getting thrown in lol, I HAD to drive home. Though I did it, it was nerve wrecking, but it was done. At that point I was placed before the overwhelming wall of fear that was erected and keeping me from growing in independence.
So I read Girlfriends in God, morning devotions daily during the week. It causes my heart to hiccup as I read each scripture verse and connection. I feel the Holy Spirit minister to my spirit through these group of Christ serving women. I highlighted and quoted what touched me the most.
“Take your car with Me”
I am reminded that God is ALWAYS for me. Truly! it is the season to cast down any thoughts and or imaginations that say anything else that doesn’t line up with such Truth. In the powerful name of Jesus I claim God’s protection! I also pray for anyone outside of myself whom claims this same protection, may we grow more God-dependant, needing nobody but God! I especially claim this as my children and I travel to and fro.
